Sir Compton is still flabbergasted by yesterday's outburst from his pin-up - Harriet Harman, a lawyer by training, mind - to the effect that although Sir Fred's pension deal might well be enforceable in a court of law, it was not enforceable in the court of public opinion. Sir Compton has never heard anything so totally bonkers from a member of the legislature.
At this rate, they'll be shouting "Labour gain" if she loses her seat come the election. Poor, misguided Harriet.
