Boris, you tit

Well, Sir Compton cast his vote in the London mayoral elections for Boris Johnson and is now wondering why. No buses yesterday, not until late in the day anyway, and the mayor was very affable and full of literary bluster when interviewed about it. He comes across very badly in such circumstances. Yes, OK, the gritters may have been overwhelmed by the volume and rapidity of the fall of snow and yes, OK, they may have been snowed in to their depots, but what people will remember is that buses ran through 7/7 and even during the Second World War. In fact, they have run continually for 100 years or so. Come on Boris, raise your game, lad, and spare us the conjugated verbiage.
